Alice Dalton Brown
Alice Dalton Brown was born in Danville, PA, in 1939 and grew up in Ithaca, New York. She began her studies in France at L’Academie Julian, Paris and at L’Universite de Grenoble, Grenoble. She then entered Cornell University, Ithaca, NY, as an English major, later transferring to Oberlin College, where she received the B. A. degree in art in 1962.
A retrospective exhibition of her work was presented in 2013 by the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
