Pamela Sztybel
Pamela Sztybel is an American painter and illustrator who divides her time between Bridgewater, Connecticut, and New York City. Born in New York in 1956, she earned her undergraduate degree from The New School for Social Research and earned her M.F.A. at the New York Academy of Art. Her artistic practice has been shaped by fellowships at the Santa Fe Art Institute, the Vermont Studio Center, and the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy, as well as studies with renowned painter Wolf Kahn.
Sztybel has exhibited extensively in galleries across the United States, including solo exhibitions in New York, and has served as a visiting artist and lecturer at institutions such as Connecticut College, Claremont Graduate University, and The Huntington Library. Her work is represented in numerous private and corporate collections, including the U.S. Department of State's Art in Embassies collection. She also illustrated Dog Show, a limited-edition poetry collection by former U.S. Poet Laureate Billy Collins.
